I thought Id share a little bit more about myself. I have an amazing husband to whom Ive been married to for 13 years. He truly is my best friend and I am so thankful. We live a great life with our three boys ages 11,9 and 4. We feel that we are blessed abundantly, and we try to enjoy each day this life gives us, to make as many memories as we can along the way.
We always say we should have grown up a couple of generations ago, because we sometimes feel that we don't fit in to this day and age. We love the idea of being self sufficient. We have our own chickens, some of which we butchered for meat. We make our own bread and jam, and just about every meal is made from scratch. We hope at some point we will be able to raise our own beef and pork as well. We would also love to be off grid if we could, and always ponder the idea of using sun or wind energy as our power source.
We do lots of family activities. This is what matters the most to us, as we strive to raise our boys into Godly men. We always teach them to make your own fun. Our activities of choice are camping, hiking, creek walking, family movie nights, or game nights or just setting out on an adventure and finding fun along the way.
I stay home with the kids, and this year we are going to attempt to home school our middle son. I also watch my nephew and nieces as well so theres always a full house. On any given day you will find up to 7 or so kids running around havin a grand ole time. So much fun to grow up with your cousins as playmates everyday.
As well as caring for all the kids, I also dabble with couponing. I started about a year ago and it has been such a blessing. I have learned alot about getting just about anything cheaper, and now I love helping others get the savings too. In this world of constantly rising prices, its nice to be able to control some part of that. In my spare time (when I have it) I love to do anything crafty. I love to do quilting, crocheting, painting, clay work, I will try just about anything crafty if given the chance. I am hoping actually to get my Etsy page up and started here soon.( Will let you know when its up and running)
The one thing that keeps this family running, is our relationship with Jesus. He is at the center of this household, and without his love and direction in our lives, we would have nothing to celebrate.
